Reselling is a volume business. The difference between a hobby and a profitable operation often comes down to one thing: how well you track the moving parts. Inventory, margins, shipping, platform fees, customer communications — each moving part needs visibility.
A generic inventory tracker will not cut it. Resellers need sheets that understand the rep ecosystem: pre-order timelines, QC photo workflows, agent communication logs, and true landed cost calculations.
This guide shows you how to build a rizzitgo spreadsheet specifically for reselling. Not generic business tracking. Not basic inventory. A system that matches exactly how the rep community operates.
Need Templates?
Our free reseller template includes all the columns and formulas covered in this guide.
Free TemplatesInventory vs Order Tracking
Resellers need both. Inventory tracking monitors what you have in hand: items received, photographed, listed, and sold. Order tracking monitors what you have paid for but not yet received: pre-orders, in-transit items, QC pending.
Use two separate tabs: one for Inventory (physical stock) and one for Orders (pipeline). When an order arrives, move it from Orders to Inventory. When it sells, move it to Sold. This three-stage system prevents double-selling and missed pre-orders.
Platform-Specific Fee Tracking
Every platform takes a different cut. Your rizzitgo spreadsheet needs a Platform column and a Fees column that adapts:
eBay
13.25% final value fee + $0.30 per order. Use =Sell_Price*0.1325+0.30 in your formula.
Grailed
9% commission. Simple and consistent across all categories.
Depop
10% + payment processing (2.9% + $0.30). Total fees average 12.9%.
Direct / WhatsApp
Only payment processing fees. Lowest margin impact but highest trust requirement.
Margin Protection Rules
Resellers die by thin margins. A $50 item with $15 shipping, $8 agent fees, and $12 platform fees leaves $15 profit. If the sell price drops to $45, you are losing money.
Add a Minimum Sell Price column with the formula =Cost+Shipping+Fees+(Cost*0.30). This shows the lowest price you can accept while maintaining a 30% markup. Never list below this number.
Restock Prediction
Use a simple running count in your Inventory tab. For each SKU, track Sold This Month and Current Stock. When Current Stock drops below your monthly average sales, flag the row in red.
This simple color rule prevents stockouts on your bestsellers. No complex forecasting needed. Just math you can do in a single column.
Reseller Sheet Structure

| Inventory | Physical stock | Item, SKU, Qty, Photos, List Status |
| Sales | Completed deals | Item, Platform, Sell Price, Fees, Net |
| Customers | Repeat buyers | Name, Platform, Total Spent, Last Buy |

Build a System That Scales
Reselling rewards organization. The resellers who grow from 10 orders to 1,000 orders are not necessarily better at sourcing. They are better at tracking. A purpose-built rizzitgo spreadsheet gives you the visibility to make smarter buying decisions, price confidently, and never lose an order in the pipeline.
